Abstract

Hydrocarbon explotation is key to economic development but generates severe environmental impacts, affecting ecosystems and communities. This study aims to identify sustainable strategies to mitigate these negative effects. Documentary research was conducted using academic sources such as Scopus and Scielo. Through qualitative analysis, regulations, clean technologies, and sustainable practices were examined. The results highlight the importance of strict regulations, environmental monitoring, and community participation. It is concluded that a combination of government incentives, renewable energy adoption, and ecological restoration is essential. Cooperation between governments, businesses, and communities is essential to balancing the growing energy demand with environmental protection and collective well-being.
