Resumen

This article analyzes the role of artificial intelligence (AI) as a resource to strengthen the curriculum in Physical Education at the high school level in Ecuador. Through basic research with a qualitative approach, national and international curriculum documents were reviewed, and interviews and questionnaires were administered to 53 master's students. The results reveal a low level of AI training but a high level of interest in its educational application. Deficiencies were identified in digital planning, technology use, and strategies adapted to the subject. As a theoretical response, the creation of an Artificial Intelligence agent called: Movement, Artificial Intelligence in Physical Education, acronym [MovIA-EF], is proposed. This pedagogical agent supports teachers in curriculum planning, report writing, and methodological suggestions, and also includes interaction with students through a GPT-type conversational module. The research provides a solid foundation for future practical applications, aligned with the prioritized curriculum and the development of digital and inclusive competencies from an updated educational perspective.
