Abstract

Active methodologies empower students by fostering engagement and independent learning, shifting away from traditional teacher-centered approaches. These strategies promote critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity, leading to deeper academic understanding. Objective: Develop strategies using active methodologies to enhance meaningful learning in sixth-grade students at Celeste Carlier Educational Unit. Methodology: A correlational quantitative study with 16 students. Surveys identified learning challenges, followed by seven interactive workshops. Results: Initially, 75% struggled with reading comprehension. After the workshops, 81% showed significant improvement in comprehension, communication, and emotional expression, demonstrating the effectiveness of active methodologies in fostering academic success and holistic development.
