Formation of high academic performance teams in higher education: Universidad Católica de Cuenca - Ecuador.

Abstract

Knowing the potential and high academic performance of higher education students and forming teams of this nature is a challenge for universities, knowing that this will achieve future professionals capable of solving problems of different kinds that are always present in the university. society. The problem is that the way to discover the above-average potential of various students has not been examined; Therefore, the objective is to determine the process developed for the formation of high academic performance teams in higher education, specifically at the Catholic University of Cuenca-Ecuador, Accounting and Auditing career. The applied methodology is a non-experimental descriptive design, qualitative and interpretive. 41 students of the first cycle were considered for the research, for the creation of the high academic performance team in the academic period 2018-2019. The survey technique and questionnaires were applied as instruments at each stage of the process. In the end, it was possible to form the High Academic Performance Team with two young students, with this the research had a high impact on the students, creating an expectation for future calls.
