Abstract

The knowledge society has in science and technology two spurs for change and social progress. The current status that humanity enjoys is undoubtedly due to creativity. The objective of this work is focused on the systematic review of the creativity construct; Likewise, it aims to identify the various existing theories around this construct, as well as to see what instruments for measuring creativity currently exist and, finally, to know the existence of intervention programs around creativity implemented in the university.


For this purpose, a systematic review of scientific articles has been carried out using Google Academic, Ebscohost, Latindex and Web On Science (WoS) databases, limiting the period to 2016-2020, in the Spanish language. Additionally, the abstract has been exhaustively read and the vast majority have been considered complete articles. In short, it has worked with 20 articles, all distributed between the years 2016 and 2020.


Studies indicate that creativity is related to innovation, although there are underlying weaknesses in the literature regarding entrepreneurship, however, creativity in the university environment requires having methodological strategies aimed at developing creative skills in students and, in a way to promote the development of creativity is through educational research and the application of intervention programs.
